School History

TMSA Triad Secondary Campus is a public charter school in Guilford County serving students in Grades 6–12 with a strong focus on STEM and STEAM education. As part of the TMSA Public Charter Schools network, our mission is to prepare students to become competent, responsible, and successful individuals in a global, technology-driven society through a rigorous academic program, meaningful family and community partnerships, and strong teacher–student relationships.

Our Mission

The mission of TMSA Triad is to equip students with 21st-century skills—critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration—while fostering character traits such as responsibility, respect, resilience, diversity, courage, and industriousness.

We achieve this mission by implementing a research-based curriculum with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, building strong school-family-community partnerships, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting positive teacher-student connections that support both academic and personal growth.

Our Educational Approach

Family, School, and Community Partnerships

We believe education is a shared responsibility among students, families, and the community. Partnerships are strengthened through:

  • Parent-teacher conferences and family engagement events
  • Community service and outreach programs
  • Collaboration with local colleges, universities, and industry professionals

Programs and Opportunities

TMSA Triad Secondary offers a variety of programs that extend learning beyond the classroom:

  • Project Lead the Way (PLTW) engineering and technology courses
  • Advanced Placement (AP) and honors-level coursework
  • Clubs and extracurricular activities including robotics, arts, broadcasting, and athletics
  • Before and after-school programs, tutoring, and academic enrichment
  • College and career readiness programs with personalized counseling and community internships

A Community-Centered Environment

Our campus culture encourages students to believe in themselves, find purpose in learning, and recognize their value within our diverse community. With small class sizes and individualized attention, students are empowered to excel academically and personally.
