Guilford County Senior Advances in Prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholars Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Greensboro, NC – February 23, 2026 - TMSA Schools proudly announces that Moram Hamed, a senior at the TMSA Triad campus, has been selected to advance in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program — one of the most distinguished honors awarded to graduating high school seniors in the nation.

Moram was chosen by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Presidential Scholars Nomination Committee to move forward as an official state nominee. Out of thousands of graduating seniors across North Carolina, only 20 students statewide were nominated — and Moram stands among this elite group.

“I am incredibly proud of Moram as she represents herself, her family, TMSA Schools, and the entire State of North Carolina,” said Mr. Ben Karaduman, Superintendent of TMSA Schools. “She is truly a shining North Star and an inspiration for students across our state.”

Moram’s nomination reflects an extraordinary record of academic excellence, leadership, and service. Ranked in the Top 10 of her senior class at the TMSA Triad campus, she has consistently demonstrated dedication, resilience, and a passion for success.

As the founder and president of TMSA Triad’s HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) chapter, Moram has inspired fellow students to pursue healthcare pathways, earn professional certifications, and engage in meaningful community service. Her leadership also contributed to the campus’s recognition through the Freshman Academy initiative, where she presented at the NASC Conference, helping TMSA Triad earn the 2025 National Gold Council of Excellence Award.

Beyond the classroom, Moram’s commitment to service continues to shine. She volunteers at Novant Health Hospital, supporting patients and visitors with compassion and professionalism. She has also served as a Sudan Young Leader and youth volunteer, further demonstrating her dedication to community impact.

In addition, Moram has demonstrated impressive entrepreneurial spirit as the founder of Mendhi by Moram, successfully balancing academics, extracurricular leadership, volunteerism, and business ownership while developing strong communication and professional skills.

“Moram is the only student from Guilford County to receive this honor, and it fills us with immense pride,” said Principal Kandil of the TMSA Triad campus. “She has been part of the TMSA family since first grade, and her journey reflects the excellence and character we strive to cultivate every day. This is truly an American success story.”

TMSA Schools celebrates this remarkable achievement and congratulates Moram Hamed for representing Guilford County and North Carolina with excellence and distinction on the national stage. The entire TMSA community eagerly supports her as she advances in this prestigious competition.
