Star League Shines at MatchCount Regional Competition

Star League Shines at MatchCount Regional Competition

We are proud to announce that our Star League students represented our school at the MatchCount Regional Competition, held at Greensboro Day School on February 28.

Our top 14 middle school students, selected based on their outstanding performance in the AMC 8 (American Mathematics Competitions 8), competed against 12 schools in this prestigious regional event.

A special congratulations to Byar Du, who ranked in the Top 16 overall and proudly represented our school in the Countdown Round!

Team Achievement:
Our team placed 5th out of 12 schools, an accomplishment that reflects their dedication, perseverance, and teamwork.

We are now preparing for our next major competition — MathCon on March 15 — and we are striving for even greater success.

Our Star League program continues to grow stronger:

  • 62 dedicated students
  • 4 committed coaches
  • Weekly Saturday study sessions from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Students scoring 90% and above on their MAP assessments

We are incredibly proud of our students' hard work and academic excellence.

Congratulations to our Star League MathCounts team! The best is yet to come!
