TMSA Expands Learning Opportunities with New Virtual School Across North Carolina

TMSA is expanding its educational reach with the launch of TMSA Virtual, a new online public charter school that will provide students across North Carolina with a flexible, high-quality learning experience beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.

TMSA leaders say the virtual academy will offer families greater flexibility while maaintaining the organization's commitment to academic excellence, STEM-focused education, and student success. The program is expected to benefit a wide range of learners, including students seeking advanced coursework, flexible scheduling, or access to high-quality public education regardless of location.

Students enrolled in TMSA Virtual will receive instruction aligned with North Carolina academic standards and will have opportunities to engage in clubs, competitions, enrichment activities, and other programs that connect them to the broader TMSA community.

The new virtual school represents a significant milestone for TMSA, which has grown into one of North Carolina's leading charter school networks. By extending its educational model into a statewide online format, TMSA aims to make its mission of preparing students for success in college, career, and life accessible to even more families across the state.

School officials say enrollment information and application details will be available through the TMSA Virtual website as the school prepares to welcome its first class of students.
